Robotic Spot Weld Cell:
This spot welding cell design includes the cell layout and a robot position study. The cell minimizes cycle time by using material handling robots to unload the fixture and finish the welds on pedestal welders. The cell consists of: a turntable positioner with tooling, one welding robot, two material handling robots, two pedestal welders and two exit chutes. Each component of this cell was designed by Force Design, including fencing, robot bases, tooling fixtures, and robot end-of-arm tooling.
